New tracks between

Valby and Svanemøllen

Aarsleff Rail and Banedanmark have signed a contract on track renewal between Valby and Svanemøllen on the Copenhagen suburban system.

The contract covers track renewal on the double-tracked line including points on the stations. The work is divided into 5 stages and also includes work on signalling and catenary as well as drainage.

We began the work immediately after signing the contract and will finish the work during autumn 2017.

Once the worn out tracks on the 10 km long line are replaced passengers will no longer experience speed limitations and delays.

The contract has a value of DKK 270 million and is carried out in co-operation with Spitzke SE Denmark.

The contract is the second significant contract recently awarded to Aarsleff Rail by Banedanmark, as Aarsleff Rail also signed a contract with Banedanmark on track renewal on Kystbanen between Klampenborg and Helsingør. A contract that is carried out during 2017 and 2018.
