Aarsleff Rail to modernize

Østerport Station in Copenhagen

Aarsleff Rail has signed a contract with the Danish State Railways, DSB on modernizing Østerport station in Copenhagen.

The project covers a comprehensive renovation of the station building, a complete change of all installations as well as a strengthening of the concrete constructions over the tracks. The work will be carried out from April 2017 until the beginning of 2019. The station continues to operate during the project.

The renovation is carried out with the focus of conserving the station’s original appearance. Once the work is finished the station is ready to receive the rising number of passengers following the opening of Copenhagen’s metro city circle line, Cityringen.

The work is done in cooperation with Wicotec Kirkebjerg A/S, as Aarsleff Rail a company in the Aarsleff Group.
